This technical sales support role uses your knowledge of engineering to work with the sales team in preparing tender documents on their behalf, for specific orders. For every new sales enquiry, your skill will be in taking control of the tendering process from the initial brief to clarifying technical specification and producing final competitive but profitable quotations and all supporting tender documents.
Talking to suppliers and manufacturing plants to negotiate best price and the quickest lead time is a daily activity. It is likely you will have worked in a sales or customer service office previously and will be a qualified or time served engineer who enjoys using your technical skills in a more commercial role.
