A great opportunity has come up for a Junior Buyer with one to two years experience who is keen to develop their career. You could join the Leicester based head office of a well known engineering company to give your career that step up and enjoy a competitive salary along with additional benefits.
Working as part of a buying team, you will enjoy talking to suppliers daily to negotiate prices, achieve the best possible deals and ensure service and delivery meets the companies exacting standards. Monitoring stock levels on an ongoing basis will certainly keep you busy as you ensure that you have enough stock to meet orders but are not overstocked.
Communication is key in this role so you will need to posses a confident telephone manner and enjoy building good relationships with your suppliers. You should be commercially switched on with a head for business and be looking to build your career with an impressive organisation that has a strong reputation as a good employer.
Key Experience: Experience of working in a in a buying or purchasing related role that you are keen to develop. If this has involved purchasing industrial components or engineering parts it would be useful but is not essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team using your own initiative is your strength.
