A national business based in Barlborough requires a Finance Manager for one of their £300m divisions due to an internal promotion. Over the last 4 years my client has enjoyed sustainable growth and is looking to appoint a driven and ambitious Finance Manager who is searching for a role that will add value to their CV and increase their skill set in the long term.

This role will focus on the financial cycles, processes and transaction with the day to day duties being:

Management of two direct reports and 22 indirect reports.
Manage the purchase ledger function
Compilation of VAT returns for submission to HMRC and group
Manage the reconciliation of payroll control accounts including PAYE, pensions and life assurance
Ensure intercompany accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
Review liabilities in all divisional balance sheets to ensure appropriate reconciliations are completed
Indentify areas of improvement and implement the necessary changes
Ensure all staff are appropriately trained
Authorise BACS/Chaps transmissions for payroll and purchase ledger
Provide group and statutory reporting support.

This will be a hands on finance manager role with the emphasis on team fit and stability. My client is looking for a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who has experience within a large finance function or shared service centre. A background within a fast paced company is a must as is the ability of multi-task and can do attitude.
