Job Description

My Client, a leading Independent drinks supplier, is looking to recruit a Recoveries Case Worker.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team in order to maximise the recovery of delinquent debt through close liaison with credit control and sales, and by extensive use of legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility for collection of cash on the legal ledger. Extensive use of case planning and analysis requiring a strong commercial awareness. Liaison with credit control and sales in preparing cases. Negotiating with debtors to recover outstanding money, including high value trade deals. Instructing solicitors on cases in order to maximise recovery by the use of various legal options available. Attendance at court and meetings of creditors. Maintaining bespoke databases in order to manage/measure performance. Liaison with the Official Receiver/Insolvency Practitioners. Provide technical advice to credit control and sales.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and persuasive skills both written and oral and be highly numerate. They should be highly organised and efficient as well as being able to work on their own initiative and possessing a high degree of attention to detail. The role also requires strong IT skills.

The candidate should hold a law degree or postgraduate equivalent. Successful completion of the LPC is a preference and the candidate should possess a sound understanding of both English and Scottish litigation and insolvency procedures and ideally have had exposure to a recoveries/litigation environment.
