A world renowned manufacturer of high quality engineered components for the automotive industry currently have a vacancy for a Technical Support Engineer to join the team at their East Midlands premises.
POSSIBLE LOCATION OF CANDIDATES: Nottingham, Derby, Long Eaton, Ilkeston, Arnold, Loughborough, East Midlands.

THE ROLE:
This key position within the company requires a very technically knowledgeable and commercially aware engineer to provide technical support to internal production as well as external customers and OEMs. Working specifically in the heavy vehicle division (trucks, buses etc), your superb communication and organisation skills will be utilised in order to manage component warranty issues across a number of key accounts and sites.
Holding excellent commercial and automotive pricings knowledge, the successful candidate will be in regular contact with the company’s European headquarters, key decision makers within customer companies, field service engineers and manufacturing workshops across a number of sites. Your technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic) of HGVs, buses, trucks and lorries will be paramount in the smooth and efficient running of the technical support department.
This is a fast paced and extremely rewarding position within a company who hold an enviable position within their market. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
> Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship/qualification essential.
> Automotive manufacturing experience very desirable, especially within a heavy vehicle environment.
> Commercial experience including pricings, margins, working to financial budgets etc crucial.
> Superb organisational and communication skills essential.
> You will hold customer facing and problem solving experience.
